Your IDA New Patient Internet Dental Marketing Campaign delivers impressive results. In order to do this – and the secret to our success – is we limit participation.
Only a limited number of doctors are accepted for each high-value new patient market; cosmetics, implants, braces, etc. Once chosen, all others in an area are excluded from eligibility. We do this so that our participating doctors are assured of the highest possible income.
There are two layers to our IDA exclusivity dental marketing strategy:
As of May of 2004, whenever a new member joins the Alliance, we enter their zip code into a specially designed computer program that draws a 25-mile circle around the new doctor’s practice area. The program automatically selects only those websites, styles and color combinations that are not currently being used in the area for you to choose from.
This approach helps assure that each of our members has a unique style and color combination in their geographic market.
Each local practice website built by the Alliance is targeted at one (primary) high-value patient market: Sedation, Cosmetics, Implants, Ortho, etc. IDA does its best to only put three (3) practice websites for the same high-value market into a population circle of 20,000 residents.

For example, we will only put three Cosmetic websites or Implant sites into a given population area. We do this to maintain our very good track record in positioning local dental websites and 1stDDS.com dental information centers for specific high-value patient types in the first three pages of the search engine responses. We do not want to dilute our results for our member doctors by creating too much competition among them for internet positioning.
Starting with your local practice office (using its longitude and latitude and the latest census figures) we draw a population circle of 20,000 to define the market for your local practice website(s). Our goal is to have no more than three of the same targeted high-value sites in a given population center. Why 20,000 residents? Our research has shown that the 20,000 residents is the traditional population pool for a dental practice.
You might ask why we use population density rather than a geographic market approach. The reason is that if your practice is in Manhattan, your market may only consist of a three-block area surrounding your practice. If you live in Goliad, TX, your population exclusive may extend to a 75 mile radius surrounding your office.
As you can tell, we have given this issue a lot of thought. Our goal is to get your local IDA practice website(s) in the top three pages of response on the primary search engines. We will do our best to limit our membership to three (cosmetic, sedation, implant, etc.) sites for a given 20,000 resident market.
Your IDA Internet website strategy is designed to make you the dominant Internet dental practice in your community. To protect your position, we grant each of our members an exclusive for their site design and targeted market of up to 20,000 residents. This exclusive is awarded on a first-come first-served basis.
